Bristol offers something a little different from other major cities: it is big but not too big. With a population circa of 420,000, Bristol offers the finer things of city life without the negatives en mass you would get in other UK cities such as Birmingham and London.
I have lived in Bristol since birth, and other than a short spell down the coast at Weston Super Mare, I've not known any different. Stereo types of Vicky Pollard will always be drawn, but in fact, Bristol has one of the UKs best education establishments in Bristol University.
Cabot Circus has regenerated Broadmead, so if shopping is your thing, you may have a new mecca! Broadmead in general offers a wide choice of shops and restaurants that are certain to keep even the most need visitors suitably catered for.
Bristol is home to two professional football clubs: Bristol City who currently play in the NPower Championship and Bristol Rovers who currently do their thing in NPower League One.
